meet blythe
Blythe hails from beneath the mystic rainclouds of Portland, Oregon, USA, and now has her home base in Scandinavia. She grew up in Southeast Portland, surrounded by hipsters, art, music, theatre, and cats. The performing arts are her great passion, and she lives to share her artistic vision with the world. She is the proud cat-mother of Peter Pan the Nebelung, and when she is not on stage, she can be found doodling in her sketchbook, sipping coffee in local cafes, or wandering in the snow and ice of Northern Norway with pink headphones on.
She holds a B.A. in Performing Arts from The Evergreen State College, is a graduate of The Circus Project’s 2010 Intensive Training Company, and has passed her examinations for the Brevet d’Initiateur Aux Arts du Cirque (FFEC).
She additionally holds a Basic Social Circus Instructor certification from Cirque du Monde (the social branch of Cirque du Soleil).
Blythe has performed as an aerialist, vocalist, musician, dancer, actor and MC on worldwide stages for productions ranging from indie and experimental theatre to full-scale professional productions, corporate entertainment, tent circus cabarets and variétés, outdoor festivals and parades, and innumerable appearances at arts events for children and youth.
