meet blythe
Blythe hails from beneath the mystic rainclouds of Portland, Oregon, USA, and now has her home base in Scandinavia. She grew up in Southeast Portland, surrounded by art, music, theatre, and the unique brand of Weird that makes Portland famous. She is the proud cat-mom of Peter Pan the Nebelung, and when she is not on stage, she can be found doodling in her sketchbook, writing plays, guzzling coffee, or wandering in the snow and ice of Northern Norway.
Blythe holds a B.A. in Performing Arts from The Evergreen State College (Olympia, WA), is a graduate of The Circus Project’s 2010 Intensive Training Company (Portland, OR), and is a licensed circus pedagogue via the French Federation of Circus Schools (FFEC).
She holds a Social Circus Instructor certification from Cirque du Monde (Cirque du Soleil), and is a current degree candidate for the Master of Liberal Arts in Creative Writing & Literature from Harvard University Extension School.
Blythe has performed as a circus artist, vocalist, musician, dancer, actor and MC on worldwide stages for productions ranging from indie and experimental theatre to full-scale professional productions, corporate entertainment, tent circus cabarets and variétés, outdoor festivals and parades, and innumerable appearances at arts events for children and youth.
